Structural Engineer Lead
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Create design sketches and perform structural calculations.
- Check plans for accuracy and completion according to applicable building code and material codes and standards.
- Coordinate and supervise work of other Civil/Structural engineers and designers.
- Responsible for the preparation of the discipline specifications, bill of material, engineering procurement requisitions, manpower planning, man hour control, progress reports and any other document pertaining to project execution.
- Meet with project manager and client regarding design and construction schedule.
- Responsible for interdisciplinary coordination.
- Responsible for communicating information to all concerned personnel.
Training and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 12 years of design experience in the Heavy Industrial sector (mining or oil and gas industry).
- Previous Lead Engineer experience preferred
- Master's Degree preferred
- PE highly desirable
