Electrician

Responsibilities:

• The Electrician’s position is primarily responsible for installation, maintenance and removal of all types of electrical equipment, conduit and cables. The Electrician will be working in tight spaces with voltages from 4,160VAC to 120VAC and 500 VDC. This work is performed in all types of environmental conditions, including extreme heat, wet and cold, day and night. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, and work from heights of over 80 feet. Person must be available for callout and overtime at all times of the day and night, including weekends and holidays.
• Work is moderately physically challenging. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push and pull heavy loads, sometimes 75+ pounds, for extended periods of time and in very hot, dusty or cold and wet conditions. Position requires repeated lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, at times in tight and awkward positions. Many of the areas have uneven or loose material surfaces.
• Shifts vary from 8 to 16 hours a day, 5 to 7 days a week, day or night. Shifts starting times and length of shifts can change on short notice.
• Position requires that the person be able to work with others as well as alone, and able to troubleshoot and mitigate problems under very stressful conditions.  Must be able to distinguish colors and work in close, tight conditions.
• Must have 5+ years in an industrial environment as an electrician.
