Project Planner - Civil Mining - FIFO 21/7 30% uplift - QLD

My client a large top tier contractor is looking for a Project Planner to work on a $200m civil earthworks project in central QLD.
 
The Project
This large civil mining project involves several million cubic meters of bulk earthworks, drilling and blasting, drainage works, haul roads, new bridge construction and water diversions.
 
Due to a recent start on site, this client is looking to recruit a Project Planner to join this project which will run for 2 years. 
  
The role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 
  • Reporting - preparing, monitoring and producing all progress of works, trends, schedule outcome, variations and efficiency
  • Resources - monitoring current resources and identifying resource requirements to maintain project objectives
  • Strategies - ensuring optimum project strategies and problem solving by evaluating different project options 
  • Risk - Forecasting, identification and analysis of risk and presenting outcomes of uncertainty and corrective actions 
  • Liaison - liaising and communicating with all senior members of the project team with regards to performance, forecasting and cost
The skills required
  • 3 years plus experience as a Project Planner
  • Experience working on Civil Construction projects
  • Proficient on P6
  • Experience working on large civil projects from initial site stages to completion
  • Prior experience working in Australia
