Senior Mine Engineer (Production)
Design & Build is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer for a leading WA based Operator. This is a FIFO Role from Perth working on a 9:5 Roster OR a residential opportunity in a thriving town. This position is working on a Gold Operation and ideally you will have some underground experience
Due to expansion of Mine Operations, this is a business critical role reporting to the Mine Manager. This is a long term permanent position to work with a great team, on a new mine site, with an excellent roster and living arrangement
Key responsibilities of the Senior Mine Engineer will include:
Conducting investigations on mineral deposits
Prepare mine plans and layout including tunnels and shafts
Monitoring and mentoring the mining engineers on site
Consult and collaborate with senior geologists about design, machinery and systems
Focus on improving mine efficiency and profitability
Establishing strong rapport with colleagues in the team as well as other teams within the operation
To succeed in the Senior Mine Engineer role you will need:
Tertiary Qualification ideally in Mining Engineering
A strong knowledge of software including Surpac
A minimum of 8 years experience in the mining industry
Knowledge of the WA market and rules and regulations
A proven track record in safety and environment
Experience in underground mining
