Horizon Oil Sands
Horizon Oil Sands is an exciting part of our growth.  Full production capacity for Phase 1 is 110,000 bbl/d of fully upgraded, light, sweet synthetic crude oil.  We will see incremental production gains throughout the completion of future expansion and debottlenecking, with targeted full facility capacity of approximately 250,000 bbl/d.  Further phases of expansion will bring the ultimate capacity to 500,000 bbl/d.

This position is based in Fort McMurray, Alberta and is eligible for:
• Relocation to Calgary or Fort McMurray

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our Horizon Oil Sands operation is expanding with project spending for 2012 forecasted at approximately $1.55 billion with future projected spending of approximately $2 - 2.5 billion each year for the next several years.

The Systems Completion Coordinator will be responsible for all activities associated with system definitions through to the pre-commissioning stages.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
• Define all systems with contractors and conduct various checks
• Perform construction walk downs
• Complete deficiency assessment and assist Lead and Pre-Commissioning Coordinator with required follow-up
• Provide weekly and monthly reports on the status of system completions
• Involvement during the construction stages, interface with Quality Assurance (QA) and follow up with vendor books
• Document and implement industry best practices in the systems completion and pre-commissioning processes
• Coordinate completion of contractor construction activities in systems and prepare punch lists to ensure readiness of systems for release to Owner
• Interface with Contractors, Construction Managers, Turnover Team, Engineers and End-Users

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Typically 5+ years of related industry experience with Grade 12 or GED
• 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineer is preferred
• Familiarity with and understanding of:
o Working in a variety of construction roles and a knowledge of all trades
o Working on Start-up/Pre-Commissioning stages
o Working with Operations
o Quality Assurance work
