Project Engineer

Our client is hiring a Project Engineer for their wind power group, to focus on projects in Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Quebec RFP
• Work with the General Manage and Developer, and our consultants to establish bid layouts for each of our projects.
• Get wind forms filled out and/or data transferred to turbine suppliers for each of the sites for proper turbine model selection.
• Confirm road layout feasible with forestry engineer or other consultant.
• Confirm layout of electrical infrastructure and draft single-line diagrams either in-house or with consultant.
• Apply for exploratory studies with HQ (to determine the preferred location and method of interconnection).
• Finalize technical portion of bid packages.
• Either price in-house or solicit bids from turbine suppliers and BOP contractors.
• Support development of the pro forma.
• Provide input to environmental work and partner/landowner/community negotiations to be run by Developer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Registered P. Eng
• Previous wind or renewable energy experience is an asset
• Ability to speak French is an asset
