Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the production of marketing proposals and sales related presentations.
  • Market and sell Kiewit Mining to specific markets throughout the US and abroad.
  • Working with staff to ensure all required material is included in proposal package.
  • Writing and/or editing projects and proposal sections.
  • Coordinating with sub consultants, graphic designers, technical personnel and others as needed.
  • Quality control and coordination of final production for all components of proposals, presentations and marketing materials.
  • Performs other related duties such as involvement in special projects; updates to internal databases; and assistance with marketing materials.
  • Other marketing duties may be required as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Ten - 15 years of sales and marketing experience particularly as it relates to coal
  • Knowledge of the Western (US) surface coal producers and markets
  • International coal sales experience
  • A good understanding of fuel supply negotiations and the execution of agreements
  • Candidate should have knowledge of logistical transport such as rail transportation networks
  • Knowledge of getting coal to ports including international ports such as China

The successful candidate should have good knowledge of :

  • Will have the ability to communicate and present market strategies to senior management as well as the customers base
  • Willingness to travel
  • Highly motivated and self-managed to get things done right the first time
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, detailed oriented, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Uncompromising attitude toward safety
  • Willingness, ability and enthusiasm for travel, sometimes on short notice
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, or other related area required
