Intermediate Accountant

Our growing, publicly traded client is seeking an Intermediate Accountant for their team. Reporting to the Controller, the Intermediate Accountant is responsible for full cycle accounts payable, maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts, performing account analysis and reconciliation, including intercompany general ledger accounts and bank reconciliations. The intermediate accountant is responsible for adjusting journal entries and accruals and assisting with initial internal control evaluations. The intermediate accountant will be involved in special projects as required.

The successful candidate is enrolled in the CGA/CMA program, with about 2 years left to completion of their CGA/CMA designation. You have three plus years experience including experience with a publicly traded company in the mining industry or in a complex organization with multi companies. You are technically savvy and have the ability and initiative to learn new accounting software on your own. You have strong organizational skills and know how to prioritize you work to meet deadlines. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and sound judgment. You are proactive and thrive in a growing business where your responsibilities will change as you get involved in special projects and take on higher level work as the business grows.
