Safety Advisor

Our Client is currently seeking the services of an experienced and qualified Safety Advisor for their operation in Regional NSW for a short term contract.

Fantastic opportunity with an established company, competitive hourly rates offered.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Facilitation of risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Working with department leaders to promote and improve safety across the operation
  • Analysis and reporting of safety performance
  • Oversee the dangerous goods and chemical management programs
  • Return-to-work management (as required)
  • Oversee the compliance and governance program
  • Facilitate the risk management program
  • Facilitation and deliver of induction and specific Health & Safety training
    program
To be successful for this role:
  • Incident investigation (ICAM qualification desirable)
  • Formal qualifications in OHS
  • Occupational First Aid Certificate
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment
  • Knowledge of Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
  • Knowledge of NSW mining OHS legislation
  • Knowledge of incidents reporting and safety statistics
  • Exposure to auditing OH&S Systems
  • Proficient Technical report writing skills
Competitive hourly rates, 7 week contract role
