MTV Field Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Counsels customer mine management on the selection of mining machinery, machine specifications and options.
• Evaluates and recommends to the customers the best method of operation for type of mine machine.
• Observes machinery in operation to insure proper performance. Makes any necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Assists in the delivery and installation at the customer's mine site.
• Promotes the use of repair parts and components.
• Maintains communications between customers and manufacturing facility personnel.
• Supervises customer personnel in maintenance of machines.
• Promotes training of customer personnel and their attendance in field and in-plant customer training schools.
• Maintains open communications with customers on warranty disputes to reach a compromise.
• Concession responsibilities for territory and explanation to consider concession for customer through Sales Engineer and Sales Team.
• Monitors territory parameters (i.e. expenses, warranties, concessions, gross margin on sales, etc.) through Sales Engineer and Sales Team.
• Monthly, quarterly and bi-annual team meetings with Sales Team to review year-to-date sales and operating reports. Take corrective actions and communicate outcomes and trends.

Qualifications

• This position requires 3-5 years underground experience related to the repair and installation of both electrical and mechanical components. 
• Preferred educational background is a BS in Electrical Engineering or a BS in Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate will understand [Company] mining systems and their application, have strong electrical skills and possess MSHA electrical cards or be willing to obtain them. Underground experience on [Company] l Mining Equipment is preferred. 
• The ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic and electrical schematics is necessary. 
• Candidate should be proficient in the use of a personal computer (Word, Excel, Avenue and SAP). Some travel and/or overnight stays may be required
