This is an excellent opportunity for Design Lead to work for a Blue Chip market leader.  Produce 2d and 3d designs for a range of Capital Equipment products within the Mining Industry.    

Our client services a number of world leading companies and specialises in the design, manufacture, procurement and construction of capital equipment.  They have an immediate requirement for Design Engineers that can produce Mould Designs (metal, plastic, rubber mould drafting), this can be tool design or mechanical drafting.  Applicants will generate 3D models, sheet metal design and injection moulding.
 
Specific requirements to apply:

• TAFE Diploma or time served engineer
• A minimum of 3 years designing with a 3d package – Solid Works / Catia / Inventor
• Previous Plastic or Rubber Mould / Casting design
• Previous sheet metal design experience
• Injection Mould Design
• Review vendor drawings and produce new designs

On a daily basis you will:

• Prepare layouts for Engineering Review
• Work with Engineers and Detail Draughtmen
• Prepare 3D feature and Freeform Models
• Project manage work flow of small projects within the Design office (document control, est hours, keep track of jobs)
• Prepare work for Detail Draughtsperson
• Attend Design Meetings
• Learn how to and produce BOM’s
