Supervisor Maintenance Mobile

This position reports directly to the Section Manager- Mobile Maintenance, with direction given as needed. This incumbent is expected to work with a high level of independence and decision making on topics such as overtime requirements.

Direction Given:

This position will give direction to mine maintenance personnel including Auto Mechanics and Welders, on a variety of topics. The incumbent is to be available to reports at all times during each shift.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

• Provide leadership and coordination in the planning, implementation, and improvement of the maintenance management process
• Focus on the execution of daily, weekly and major repair plans
• Arrange and assign job tasks for crew before the beginning of each shift
• Abide by provisions of collective agreement at all times
• Communicate information to crew regarding changes in policy, procedures and other announcements
• Follow and participate in the grievance process as necessary
• Oversee the safe completion of job tasks
• Provide adequate turnover information for on coming Co-ordinator

Experience:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial setting with a mechanical background.

Educational Requirements:

• The idea candidate possess a Mechanical Technology diploma or Interprovincial Red Seal in a mechanical discipline (other combinations of education and experience will also be considered).
