Senior Inspector

Requirements

• [Company] Fairfax, VA office location is looking to hire a Senior Level Inspector. The ideal candidate will have an Associates degree in construction technology, engineering or equivalent. Bachelor's degree would be a plus. Certifications in construction related QC/QA methods and procedures.
• NICET III and or equivalent (other related college degree). VDOT and/or DOT material certifications for concrete, asphalt and soils. Individual must be a senior inspector (or inspection coordinator) on a mid to large size heavy construction transportation project in the VA, Maryland, DC area with 10 to 15 years of experience. Responsibilities:
• Coordinate inspection of construction and materials with on-site inspection staff, lead the inspection staff and assign levels of inspection to staff members. Review on-site working drawings and maintain as-built information. Review and understand construction related shop drawings; structural steel, reinforcing steel, roadway and survey, architectural and systems related shop drawings. Report to the responsible in charge person (Resident engineer) and provide required documentation needed to demonstrate construction compliance with contract documents. The senior inspector may be required to perform inspections and or coordinate inspection tasks on multiple projects.
