My client is a leading International Mining Consultancy that is growing and expanding at a rapid pace. They are seeking a Principal Mining Engineer to join their developing team.
The Role
Reporting into the Mining Manager your duties will include but not be limited to :
·Generation of long-term, and strategic plans
·Liaising with site based technical services personnel to communicate plans effectively
·Liaising with project teams and assisting in feasibility and pre-feasibility technical output
·Developing cost models and projected budgets for mining operations
·Complete mine scheduling studies
·Participation in and coordination of mining scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility
·Mentoring and internal training of mining engineers.
The Candidate
Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including senior management, technical professionals and operational personnel at a senior level.
You must have a wide knowledge of the Australian Mining market.
Experience in large scale open pit metalliferous operations, including mine planning, optimisation, design, scheduling, feasibility studies and project management.
Strong technical ability and knowledge
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
Qualifications required
· Degree or diploma in mining engineering.
· A minimum of 5 years experience in the mining industry, including technical or operational roles.
