Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

Our client, a global mining and minerals development company with integrated mining and process operations located in Sudbury Ontario, is engaged in a major ($2B CAD) infrastructure, engineering and construction project with expected completion mid-2015. Currently and until time of project completion, our client requires the services of a Mechanical Project Engineering Specialist & Reviewer, to support the owner’s team and client’s EPCM on this important project.

The Mechanical Discipline Specialist / Reviewer’s role is focused on providing technical review and guidance for the Project’s engineering development and mechanical engineering deliverables to meet Construction and Operability requirements. The role holder will provide technical review and advise the EPCM Contractor in technical matters as well as reviewing of engineering deliverables for quality control and compliance with the contract requirements. The role will also include liaising with Operation and Maintenance groups to ensure their design requirements are met, and may involve the coordination of reviews with third party organizations to obtain regulatory or specialist input.

Education & Experience:

• 15 - 20 years mechanical engineering project management experience in an industrial, construction, mining or EPCM environment
• Mechanical Engineering degree prerequisite

This position is based in Sudbury, Ontario and is a contract position with expected duration to approximately mid 2015
