Quality Advisor

From design to project delivery, our client has built a reputation as the preferred EPCM for complex construction and expansion projects in the Pilbara. Delivering the largest and most challenging projects in Australia our client is experiencing growth and a success rate of new project awards that is unrivalled in the industry. This growth is indicative of global demand for Australian Iron Ore and as a result the scope of work will be varied and diverse. As the Perth Based Project QA you will support multi functional teams to deliver key project deliverables. 
 
The key drivers from a Quality perspective will be to maintain the project’s approach to delivery through translation of certified Quality Management System in association with the project’s Scope of Work and any specific client requirements. Where additional documents are identified as required, liaise with the BU Quality Manager to acquire agreement of approach.
Reporting to project management the ideal candidate must be technically orientated with sound ability to mitigate complex issues. You will need to be client focused and demonstrate a commitment to compliance with a proven track record of meeting applicable performance indicators. 
 
With this role being part of various multibillion dollar projects we require you to be highly experienced in the resources sector and be able to meet the following requirements:  
 
Liaise with third party certification bodies to ensure audits and corrective actions are implemented.
Participate in review and provision of recommendations in respect of project documents including deliverables.
Provide a focus for the improvement of the programme by the use of the Australian Business Excellence Framework and all aspects of continual improvement.
Carry out project risk assessment
Authorises programme quality plans and business unit / joint venture audit schedules.
Undertake compliance audits & ensure non-conformance actions are being documented
Interface with QC staff and liaises with suppliers to ensure quality of goods and services provided and that appropriate quality records are identified and collated.
Interface with the site quality personal to enable appropriate support.
Develop and implement training related to quality assurance and business improvement initiatives and programs and ensures and effective outcome.

If this is of interest to you, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following: 
 
Relevant tertiary qualifications.
Formal training in quality assurance, business improvement methodologies 
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Quality Role.
Resource sector experience is paramount
Approved auditing qualification and experience in facilitating and conducting audits.
Detailed knowledge of AS/NZS 4801:2001, AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 and AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000.
Sound knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 31000 (Risk).
Experience in project execution in the resource or engineering industries.
Management and leadership experiences, including direct line supervision.
Effective communication & computer literacy
 
Please be aware to be considered for this position you WILL NEED all of the above skills which are essential for securing this position a background in Risk Engineering would be highly regarded.
