This role is an opportunity to work at a senior level as Project Information Manager while being well rewarded in a Perth based role for a well recognised Global EPCM.
Based out of Perth this role will be responsible for managing the project information, set-up of IM systems and for site and head office teams and will be vital to ensuring the timely delivery of these projects. You will be able to assist projects, project managers and users with all data/infrastructure related queries. As the Project Information Manager you will oversee user training, integrate IT operations with business, control security aspects of the IT system and integrate or implement new technologies while also managing and working with an IT technical team. This large Global EPCM is fast moving and has a number of large projects in play and there is now a need to hire an experienced Information Manager to be part of the Perth based team.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Liaison between management and IT team to deliver appropriate IT infrastructure, equipment and services to Projects
Develop procedures and programmes for IT Infrastructure - LAN \ WAN, hardware and peripherals
Software: standard desktop image and non-standard requirements, application implementation review
Assist interface between the Project staff and IT team
Identify potential issues and deliver solutions to the project whether for cost savings or improved process and procedures
Essential knowledge, qualifications and experience required:
Minimum 10 years+ in an IT Project Management or Information Manager role for projects
Previous experience of working on large scale mining/infrastructure or resources projects will be viewed favourably
Previous experience with managing and interacting with geographically isolated teams on-site
Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with extensive ICT knowledge and people skills
Ability to manage a large team and work in a dynamic environment
Bachelors degree in IT/ Project Management or a related technology diploma or equivalent lengthy IT experience
