We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controller to join a major EPCM project that is currently in the final stages of construction.
Based on site this role will have the responsibility of providing accurate commercial advice to the Project Management on all cost matters. As the Senior Cost Controller within the Project Controls Team you will also provide guidance and support to the more junior members of the team on an ongoing basis, and you will be reporting to the Lead Cost Controller for Mining.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
Taking part in costing reviews
Analysing all information to be able to highlight any problem areas and to be able to explain all data presented
Develop tools to monitor labour costs
Identifying ways to improve and streamline work processes
Helping and mentoring junior members of the team so they are proficient on the systems and work processes involved
This role is vital to the development of this large project and will assist with all current construction activity as well as forecasting for future phases of construction.
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate:
Excellent organisational and communication skills
3-5 yrs within a similar role as Senior or Lead Cost Control
3 yrs+ previous EPCM or Client Team experience preferably in the mining or minerals processing sector
A successful track record of accurately recording, analyzing, interpreting and forecasting cost data for large mining projects
