Job Description

• [Company] has an opening for Central Spares–Expeditor

Primary Responsibilities
The employee will operate equipment (overhead cranes, fork-lifts, heavy trucks) and perform tasks such as

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Data entry in material management system related to purchase orders, receiving, internal delivery
• Picking and putting away spare parts
• Delivering spare parts to the operating units
• Relocating spare parts
• Cycle counting
• Other miscellaneous warehouse duties in order to support the operation.

Work Environment:

• The position is in an open warehouse environment that supports heavy industrial operations and you may be required to work within various areas of the mill. Along with regular exposure to outdoor weather, the mill environment conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
• The position requires you to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as[Company] operates 24/7/365. The position requires overtime as needed.

Requirements:

• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes following Safe Job Procedures and wearing proper PPE equipment such as hard hat, goggles, hearing protection, protective clothing, and steel toe boots with metatarsal protection. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations.
• High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of experience in a similar role/capacity. Candidates must be able to pass a skills assessment test and typing/data entry test.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Basic computer/data entry and warehouse experience
• Experience operating overhead cranes and mobile equipment.

Familiarity with mechanical equipment is desired.
