Intern - IT Infrastructure

Responsibilities

[Company] products and related services are used extensively for the mining of coal, copper, iron, gold and other mineral resources and the company employs 8,500 people worldwide.

• We are currently looking to add an Intern – Infrastructure/Network to our Milwaukee location.

Responsibilities:

• Under general direction, the intern will do/assist with the following
• Complete network equipment preparation tasks
• Receive, ship equipment
• Prep and stage equipment for testing
• Implement base or template configurations
• Generate and consolidate reports related to network performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computers, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Management Information Systems or like Computer degree required. Will also consider graduate candidates from Technical College.
• Update network documentation.
• Candidates should have a basic understanding of data routing & switching, IP addressing & subneting, Linux command line.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches is a plus.
• Candidate should be able to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Internship will go through December 21st, 2012.
• It will be full 40 hours for the whole length, plan accordingly.

• Desired graduation date is between December 2012 and May 2013.
