The Opportunity

Right now, we are looking for an experienced engineer with 15-20 years’ experience in the power generation industry to join our Power Generation team in our Perth office.

The position requires a tertiary qualification in either mechanical or processing engineering, with substantial experience in power generation. Experience with an asset owner / operator, major equipment manufacturer, or EPC contractor within the power generation sector will be of particular benefit. Relevant experience in mining or process industries will also be regarded.

The role will involve:

  • Maintenance outages for power generation and industrial cogeneration plants and projects
  • Interfacing with client project management and managing work teams of engineers on thermal power generation projects
  • Business development activities, including maintaining and developing client relationships and preparing proposals
  • Travel to sites to support projects within Australia and Asia from time to time
  • Technical capability in thermal power generation, knowledge of thermal power generation technologies and processes
  • Supervisions and review of graduate engineers.

You will have/be:
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to identify and manage risk proactively and effectively
  • A team player, with a desire to lead, teach and mentor younger engineers
  • Experience in managing clients, understanding clients requirements and delivering to high client satisfaction
  • Previous demonstrated experience and contract networks local to Perth and WA
  • Ability to lead and deliver winning proposals
  • Ability to build strategic relationships internally and externally.
