About our Client
Our client is an established producer and marketer of commodities with a global network of operations. Due to an expansion of one of their underground copper mines they have an opening for a Senior Mine Planning Engineer.

Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Senior Mine Planning Engineer carries the responsibility of guiding the planning and ventilation personnel. Key duties include:

• Develop long term mine designs, enabling production targets to be achieved in a safe and cost efficient manner.
• Provide technical assistance and ideas to the technical services team
• Providing written documentation and reporting in relation to the overall mine performance
• Utilising skills in design, production and planning

The Successful Applicant
Applicants should be confident in long term planning and reporting, in addition to being able to oversee and mentor junior staff. It is important to hold the following:

• Degree in Mining Engineering
• Competence in Australian software packages
• Experience in underground hardrock mining
