Coordinator Concentrate Reclaiming

Our client is a major producer of copper concentrate for the world smelting market. The mine exports copper as the main product but it also extracts gold and silver. They currently have a vacancy for a Coordinator Concentrate Reclaiming to be responsible for assisting the consulting engineer engaged to develop the conceptual design for the process to the point of specifying and selecting the equipment. The pyrite concentrate will be recovered at rate of approximately 50t/h over a period of two years.

Responsibilities;

• Coordinate the installation of the auxiliary services, namely power and water;
• Assist the Engineer with the selection, procurement, and installation of the concentrate recovery equipment;
• Coordinate the HAZOP for the project, and develop and implement plans for managing the safety and environment hazards associated with the project;
• Develop the Safe Work Procedures for the operation of the concentrate recovery equipment;
• Select and train the operators in the use of the concentrate recovery equipment;
• Supervise the operation of the concentrate recovery equipment;

To be successful in this role you will have the following;

• Be an experienced Senior Process Operator with at least 10 years of exposure in mineral processing; 
• Demonstrated understanding of process optimization with proven analytical abilities and proven problem solving skills;
• Previous project management experience would be seen as an advantage;
• You will be a team player with demonstrated positive attitude towards safety;
• Be self motivated and adaptable to new methods and technologies, 
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Be able to perform competently to achieve results with minimum supervision.
