Area Project Engineer –SMP

Take this unique opportunity of working with a globally respected EPCM consultancy on a multi-billion dollar Project which offers excellent scope for career development and internal promotion within our client’s extensive future project portfolio. As the Area Project Engineer –SMP you will be responsible for the scope, schedule, budget and contractual aspects for work packages over and above $200m.

The right candidate for the role will have demonstrable track record of:
  • Being able to approach project tasks analytically and logically
  • Preparing budgets, forecasts and being able to implement cost control measures
  • Understanding equipment application
  • Excellent commercial acumen (contracts, procurement, cost, planning etc)
  • Forming collaborative relationships within the business and externally
  • Excellent communications skills especially when dealing with peers, senior management and the client
  • Assessing and mitigating project risks
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding and championing HSE regulations and standards
 Our Client is looking for an experienced Area Project Engineer – SMP who has a proven background in delivering extensive large scale materials handling projects within a Client or EPCM organisation.

As an ideal candidate you will possess:
  • Tertiary engineering qualifications 
  • Ability to communicate with peers, senior management and Client
  • Ability to prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Minimum 10 years experience project engineering experience
  • Previous EPCM experience is a MUST preferably on iron ore projects
