Principal Process/Specialty Engineer

Job Description

• A Principal Process Engineer is responsible for leading process design efforts on project areas of significant size and complexity. Responsibilities include distribution of process activities to junior staff, checking and approval of engineering calculations and other documents, creation and monitoring of budgets and schedules, and training and coaching of more junior engineers.

Basic Job Requirements

• University degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience (since obtaining a Bachelor degree or equivalent) in the Engineering and Construction, Petroleum or Chemical/Petrochemical industries, •          Thorough understanding of Chemical Engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ability to apply Chemical Engineering principles to the work process without direction.
• Ability to provide general supervision and proven commitment to coaching and training of coworkers and subordinates.
• Presentation, technical writing and customer relation skills are a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to continued learning and education through participation in internal and/or external training opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications                                  

• Previous [Company] experience is a plus.
• 15+ years’ experience.
