This exciting role will be working for one of the world's largest contract coal miner companies. With continued extensions and expansions towards future development this company is searching for the best people to help them grow and continue to prosper.
You will be reporting to the Manager Technical Services Superintendent, and your duties will include providing surveying and engineering functions which include spatial information services for operations, mine planning and ensure environmental projects are set within the design plan.
The ideal candidate will be able to effectively establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be able to conduct calculations and reporting, ensuring statutory requirements are met and conducting engineering surveys for mine infrastructure.
Skills and Experience:
Open cut coal surveyor qualifications /experience
Demonstrated experience with GPS
Proficient in Vulcan, AutoCAD, Surpac or similar software packages
Excellent time management, planning and communication skills
Committed to safe work practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Exception written and oral communication skills
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in surveying
- A registered mine surveyor
- Minimum 3-5 years open cut experience
