Geotechnical Superintendent

• Residential position based in NSW 
  
• Gold and Copper Mining Operation

Our client is a copper-gold mining and processing operation consisting of underground block cave, open cut mines and an ore processing plant located in Central-West NSW. The operation produces approximately 140-150kt of copper-gold concentrate that is marketed in Asia, predominantly China and Japan.

The Geotechnical Superintendent will report to the Principal Technical Engineer and will be providing leadership and technical direction to the Mine Technical team. Key aspects will cover day to day operational and technical support, short / medium term and LOM planning / scheduling, and evaluation and completion of studies to optimise recover of mineral resources.

To be considered for this role, you will possess:

• Degree qualifications in Geological or Mine Engineering or equivalent 
• Around 8 years experience in mining including large scale underground hard rock mining in both technical and operational aspects 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a multicultural environment 
• Exposure to mining operations, processing and business systems 
• Project management experience
