Drill & Blast Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Drill and Blast Engineer to provide technical advice and strategic support for the coordination of safe, efficient and productive blasting operations for one of their sites in Central Queensland.


To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline;
  • Operational mining experience in a drill and blast role;
  • Experience in using Vulcan software for the purpose of engineering design and cost analysis;
  • Technical and analytical skills in relation to the application of explosives, productivity and efficiency of operations;
  • Experience in the coordination of drilling, blasting and design operations;
  • The ability to demonstrate a hands on practical and proactive working relationship with on site drilling and blasting contractors.
  • This is an exciting development opportunity within an organisation experiencing significant growth.  This role is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of the company objectives of zero harm, growth, sustainability and optimisation.
