Senior Environmental Engineer- Project Leader (Mining Focus)

As a result of ongoing and successful mining engineering projects in Saskatchewan our client is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer/Project Leader for one of their key divisions in Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for environmental project management pertaining major mining projects
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the field on site assessment, remediation and reclamation projects
• Lead the development and execution of site-specific assessment, remediation, reclamation, audit and environmental impact assessment projects in various regions in Saskatchewan
• Perform Due Diligence, Risk Assessments and Feasibility studies
• Advise key clients on environmental management, planning and regulatory compliance; and environmental monitoring
• Communicate with clients, government and stakeholders regarding environmental issues related to mining projects
• Preparation of budgets, cost-tracking and project status reports.
• Application of current regulatory criteria.
• Preparation and review of technical reports.
• Supervision of project technicians, contractors and other field personnel.
• Implementation of Corporate and Client safety programs.

Qualifications

• A University degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-10 years of mining consulting experience.
• Eligibility for membership with an applicable professional association.
• An enthusiastic attitude and team spirit.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
