Reliability Engineer

About the role & the responsibilities: 
  •  Reporting to the Maintenance Services Superintendent 
  • Reliability Engineer who has previous experience in the application of reliability principles: RCM, RCA, FMEA, PMO (Mandatory)
  • Developing and implementing maintenance solutions and strategies.
  • Continually optimising loss prevention and condition monitoring systems to ensure equipment is maintained in a safe condition
  • Assessing and developing equipment life strategies through reviewing failure analysis trends and performance issues.
  • Auditing a range of critical maintenance strategies in regard to quality and effectiveness of the planning function.
  • Investigating plant failures with the aim of developing prevention strategies and engineering solutions.
  • Strong maintenance focus on reliability engineering service and the provision of quality controlled standardised maintenance work instructions.
  • Contribute to the achievement of OH&S objectives and minimise company risk exposure
  • Implementation and improvement of Condition Monitoring Techniques to improve reliability.
 About You:
To be successful in this role you will need to have a few things in your toolbox:-
  • Engineering Degree in a Mechanical Discipline
  • Significant experience within the mining industry (5-7 Years or more)
  • Demonstrated understanding and a history of applying Reliability principles including RCM, RCA, FMCEA, PMO.
  • The ability to effectively support Operations teams to achieve common goals.
  • A strong focus on safety and risk assessment processes.
  • A proven track record of practical plant equipment reliability improvements.
  • A proactive approach to reliability systems development.
  • A sound knowledge of engineering and statutory design codes and compliance.
  • Equipment performance monitoring, auditing and investigation experience.
