We are currently working with a major client to identify a Maintenance Analyst to be located in Sydney. This organisation is engineering based, Blue Chip Leader within the Defence Sector. They actively promote internal career progression through training and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities:

• Review, upgrade or creation of maintenance data as well as the conduct of on-board checking of ships technical systems.
• Remediation of maintenance management data in the Asset Management & Planning System (AMPS) database in support of Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Amphibious and Afloat Support (AAS) ships
• Research of maintenance documentation, standards and manufacturers’ documentation is a significant element of the positions’ responsibilities
• Review, understand and recommend changes to technical documentation, technical drawings and schematics
• Effectively interrogate an automated maintenance management database

Requirements:

• Experience in a marine/aviation/Army related maintenance activity or an ability to rapidly adapt to the marine maintenance environment
• Ability to interrogate an automated maintenance management database
• Microsoft Office experience at an intermediate level and the capacity to develop basic Microsoft Access database queries and reports
• Ability to review, and recommend modifications to technical documentation to improve the long term data management capability
• Experience in RAN maintenance procedures and obligations is desirable
