Ready Mix Driver - Bakersfield

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-trip vehicle safety inspection & check fluid levels daily
• Receive delivery instruction, have truck loaded at Batch Plant & obtain delivery ticket
• Inspect job site upon arrival & unload material
• Take customer order changes in field
• Responsible for cleaning outside of vehicle & removing concrete buildup inside of drum
• Lubricate vehicle or assist mechanics in vehicle repair
• Maintain Driver’s Daily Reports
• Other duties as instructed by supervisor

Qualifications Required for the Job

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions relating to products
• 3 years’ experience as a commercial driver license holder
• 2 years minimum experience driving concrete mixer truck preferred
• Excellent defensive driving skills
• Be able to maintain satisfactory customer and public relations in performance of duties
• Ability to clean all areas on vehicle
• Ability to climb ladder to inspect loads & hang mixer chutes
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
