Mechanical Engineer

Our client is a leading resource sector driven Engineering business, specialising in providing Mechanical Engineering design and consultancy to the resources sector. A position is available for a Mechanical Engineer with 5 plus years experience in piping design, pump selection and hydraulic calculations. A demonstrated exposure and understanding of PNID's, design within diesel oils, water and heavy vehicle wash downs is sort.
The role will report directly into the Engineering Manager, providing considerable scope to develop your career. 

For the right candidate, exposure to non-resource based projects, will be considered. 

Key Skills and Requirements: 

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent from a recognised institution essential 
• Design experience in the mining and minerals processing industry 
• An understanding of hydraulic calculations, piping design, valve and pump selection. 
• Experience with working with disciplines including plant construction, commissioning and operation. 
• Ability to provide technical overview of drawings 
• Good understanding of Australian and International standards and procedures 
• Attention to detail with regard to drawings and quality checks 
• Engineering calculation and documentation checks 
• Good coordination skills 
• Ability to provide technical direction to engineering team 
• Ability to create confidence and buy in, to processes 
• Ability to interact with multidisciplinary design teams
