Job Description
Small operation in the Northern Territory requires a Mining Manager who will step into the shoes of the General Manager within 12 months. The mine site is open cut, hard rock. The Mining Manager is responsible for overseeing all production and technical aspects of mining, as well as supporting and developing the Mining Engineer. The operation will become owner-operated and this role will require transition management.

The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will be a degree qualified mining engineer with substantial open cut mining experience, preferably from within a similar business culture. It is essential to demonstrate assertive managerial skills and the ability to lead and mentor an understudy who will also progress through succession planning. Understanding of geology and plant is imperative. The position is expected to develop into GM within 12 months, at which point the roster will change to 4/3 and therefore, applicants need to be prepared to move to Darwin.
