Environmental Engineer

As a result of ongoing and successful oil & gas engineering projects in Alberta our client is seeking intermediate and Senior Environmental Engineers for their Edmonton division.

This position will offer an excellent career development opportunity for someone who has current experience in management of projects, technical staff and client liaison, and wishes to be involved in the growth and development of a business operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for environmental project management pertaining remediation and reclamation projects on up stream oil & gas projects in western Canada
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the field on site assessment, remediation and reclamation projects
• Lead the development and execution of site-specific assessment, remediation and reclamation projects in various regions of western Canada Environmental and social impact assessments and audits;
• Advise key clients on environmental management, planning and regulatory compliance; and environmental monitoring
• Communicate with clients, government and stakeholders regarding environmental issues related to upstream oil and gas production.
• Preparation of budgets, cost-tracking and project status reports.
• Application of current regulatory criteria.
• Preparation and review of technical reports.
• Supervision of project technicians, contractors and other field personnel.
• Implementation of Corporate and Client safety programs.

Qualifications

• A University degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-10 years of upstream oil and gas consulting experience.
• Eligibility for membership with an applicable professional association.
• An enthusiastic attitude and team spirit.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
