Technical Metallurgy Superintendent

This Copper and Gold Mining Giant are located in North West Queensland. In recent times, this Mining Giant announced the approval and development to extend the life of mine for this Operation by transforming it from Open Pit to an Underground Mine with an associated magnetite Plant.

This massive giant also mines and processes zinc-lead-silver and runs operations on behalf of a Zinc Operation which is located not far from the town of Mount Isa.

With this Operator constantly producing and expanding an opportunity for a Technical Metallurgy Superintendent, has arisen at the Zinc Operation located 20 km's out of Mount Isa.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess:

  • Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering Degree
  • 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity in the above discipline
  • 5-10 year experience in a mineral processing environment
  • Solid experience in process control and emissions management systems
  • Metal accounting experience
  • Celebrate the difference
  • Ability to drive and support a team towards key performance indicators and budgeting requirements
  • Effective Communication and Inter-Personal Skills
  • Works Well Under Pressure

All Senior Metallurgists with supervisory experience will be considered for this role.

This position is residential in Mount Isa, and should you be successful the Company will relocate you to site in Mount Isa. You will also be rewarded with a competitive annual salary, plus yearly bonuses, housing/rental assistance, superannuation and on going tertiary benefits and options.
