€8,000 - €9,000 Per Month Basic Salary Plus Benefits

Mission:

Responsible and accountable for the overall management of the Maintenance Contract Work

conditions:

• Office, Open Pit, Living Quarters.

Understand the RAMP Contract and Rates:

• Study the RAMP contract and ensures he understands the rates make up
• Discuss with the client & own site staff to get a clear cut understanding of the sensitive areas.
• Get an understanding of the high risk areas of the RAMP contract and the mining operation Manage the HR Function Manage the on site HR Controller
• Apply the Company Policies and Procedures
• Manage the Industrial Relations
• Apply the camp rules where applicable
• Ensure firm, fair and consistent discipline
• Ensure the training program is current
• Apply the recruitment and selection procedure
• Make sure induction training is ongoing from Site and The client Operations.
• Manage and control the workshop security where applicable
• Convene and chair the workers committee meetings Manage the SHERQ Program and ISO System: Manage the on site SHERQ Controller
• Ensure the SHERQ policy and procedures get applied rigidly and with zero tolerance
• Manage all non conformances through the Quality System / SOP’s & JSA’s
• Convene and chair a monthly SHERQ meeting
• Carry out monthly SHERQ inspections Manage the Maintenance Manage the Controllers / Expat Supervisors
• Make sure the Fleet availability is achieved where possible at all times.
• Ensure the application of the Maintenance Systems – no deviations allowed
• Ensure the planning is accurate and up to date
• Carry out monthly inspections of all equipment in cooperation with the relevant Controllers / Expat Supervisors
• Carry out ad hoc inspections of all service equipment inclusive of work quality
• Monitor / manage non-conformances daily Manage the Financial System
• Manage the Admin Controller
• Compile monthly budgets based on equipment inspections and backlog work
• Ensure monthly consolidated turnover and cost reporting are done by the 5th of the month following and check for accuracy.
• Keep himself fully informed daily, weekly and monthly.
• Monitor and responsible for the on-site petty cash on an on-going basis
• Manage the Warehouse / Logistics / Stock Function
• Manage the Warehouse Controller
• Do fortnightly inspections to check quality of the warehouse – stacking, cleanliness etc
• Check if expediting is followed through once per day
• Sign off on each order placed – stock and direct
• Liaise with the client regarding the stockholding and increase / decrease in holding based on consumption
• Where required arrange with engineering works in Dakar for emergency work Reporting
• Submit a weekly contract report to the Project Manager & Belgium office every Monday 1200
• Submit the Draft Monthly report by the 5th of the following month (Draft version) for submission to the Client by 10th of every month (using Standard format)
• Report any serious issues to the Belgium Office as and when required.
• Make sure the daily reports are delegated and generated on time.
• Make sure the required information is shared with the line management – Graphs on the notice boards etc
• Make sure the reporting function to the client is accurate and on time Convene and Attend Meetings
• Attend the Daily Production Meeting with the Client – relay critical maintenance issues to the client and update the client on outstanding items / issues. Submit the weekly planned service schedule on Saturdays
• Convene and chair monthly SHERQ meetings with the Safety Reps and the SHERQ Controller
• Convene a daily site management meeting (0730 & 1500) with the relevant Controllers / Expat Supervisors/ Local Supervisors
• Ensure Attendance is in place for all Contractual Meetings Maintain and improve the Client Relationship
• Manage the contract on a pro active basis – keep the SGO RAMP Superintendents informed daily
• Carry out regular audits with the Controllers / Supervisors. Take firm & fair corrective action when require
