Horizon Oil Sands
Horizon Oil Sands is an exciting part of our growth.  Full production capacity for Phase 1 is 110,000 bbl/d of fully upgraded, light, sweet synthetic crude oil.  We will see incremental production gains throughout the completion of future expansion and debottlenecking, with targeted full facility capacity of approximately 250,000 bbl/d.  Further phases of expansion will bring the ultimate capacity to 500,000 bbl/d.

This position is based in Fort McMurray, Alberta and is eligible for:
• Relocation to Calgary or Fort McMurray
• Company Sponsored Fly In/Fly Out and Camp Accommodation Program with charter flights available from Calgary or Edmonton


THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Our Horizon Oil Sands operation is expanding with project spending for 2012 forecasted at approximately $1.55 billion with future projected spending of approximately $2 - 2.5 billion each year for the next several years.

The Business Analyst will support the LEM application and end users including Maintenance, Supply Management, Performance Analysts and the E1 Support teams. The role will work closely with these user groups to understand business requirements to deliver effective and efficient solutions through use of the LEM system.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
• Support the LEM system users with system issues and system functionality
• Assist the Business Areas in the implementation and set up of the LEM’s contractors
• Maintain business controls and approvals over information and changes to LEM system data
• KPI reporting on LEM system performance
• Work with E1 resources (Remedy) to log and resolve issues
• Work on UPK training module development
• Train and assist the LEM administrators in the use of LEM system and adhoc reports
• Identify and report LEM system and compliance issues and assist in resolution of these issues
• Test modifications to identify sources and causes of problems in the LEM module
• Work with the users of the LEM system to facilitate integration, usage and issues
• Identify problem areas in E1 and our business processes

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Typically 5+ years of related industry experience with post secondary training in business, accounting and business systems
• Familiarity with and understanding of:
o Working with ERP related applications (EnterpriseOne preferred)
o Excel and DAS reporting at an intermediate level
o Oracle UPK
o System support
