Manager- Hydro Electric Projects

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage the operation of a Hydro Electric design group
• Develop new project opportunities
• Manage the execution and successful delivery of projects from initiation through to project close
• Develop project work plans and schedules, discuss project priorities with client, plan assigned program.
• Prepare own and direct others with cost estimates and budgets, designs and studies
• Project activities must meet local, provincial and/or federal codes and regulations - Approve supplier   and contractor invoices in accordance with project specifications, field change orders
• Identify and manage all project issues and risks
• Reconcile project performance against plan at project completion and conduct customer satisfaction assessments
• Close down the project ensuring that a complete handover to the client and support team is done

Qualifications:

• BS in either Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience managing sub contractors
• Proven experience in managing Hydro Electric Projects
• Prior EPC experience
• Technical knowledge of construction methods, building systems and terminology
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blue prints and specifications
