You are an experienced, self-motivated Health and Safety Superintendent to lead the Occupational Health and Safety team at their latest million dollar project. This role is offered on a Mon - Fri residential roster. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of OH&S.
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Promote compliance with the OHS Management System
- Implement and continuously improve site OHS procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant OHS legislation
- Manage the Event Reporting System
- Provide guidance and training in OHS matters
- Coordinate emergency response activities
- Promote OHS performance improvement
- Provide advice and support to management
Ideally you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in OHS / related discipline
- Minimum 5 years OHS experience
- Working knowledge of OHS management systems
- Experience in occupational risk management
- Enthusiasm for coaching and mentoring
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Current unrestricted driver's license
- Legal entitlement to work in Australia on a permanent basis
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite
