With all lead engineers reporting to the successful candidate, you will be responsible for all design, procurement and construction management objectives for one of the of the most significant port expansions and upgrades ever undertaken. Further responsibilities will include:
Co-ordination and execution of engineering design
The management of nominated engineering packages
Ensure that all variations to the scope of work are approved and documented
Administrate budgets associated with deliverables
Monitor the project schedule and report on progress and delays under the direction of the Construction and Commissioning Managers.
Coordinate the technical reviews of all procurement and construction contract packages
As an Area engineer your prime objective is to Manage and ensure the completion of works within the allocated time and budget whilst complying with contractual specifications. Here is your chance to utilize your existing non process infrastructure skills and experience.
Essential requirements include:
Degree qualifications Engineering or equivalent
10 - 15 years experience in consulting or operating plant engineering environments in minerals, metals and chemical or associated industries
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to communicate between all levels of management and clients, both written and verbally
