Our client, a leading force in the Iron Ore sector, is currently engaged in the large scale construction of a well known expansion project. The project is running well and requires the services of an Area Project Engineer with experience in E&I experience from engineering and construction right through to implementation and commissioning.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for assuring the ongoing implementation of the Design whilst foreseeing any possible issues that could arise while implementing continuous processes and providing guidance and management to the site based team.
The key tasks and areas to deliver in for this role and project will include:-
Acting as a technical advisor to the major contractors on site and ensure they are meeting obligations, key relationship building will be critical to this area
To be able to assist with any design alterations or design faults and use your experience and judgment to foresee potential issues
Improvement of the Planning and Scheduling activities and the overall completions on Electrical components of the project
Guidance and mentoring to various stakeholders and site project engineering staff
As this is a major materials handling project, all candidates will have to demonstrate a proven track record delivering engineering metrics on multimillion dollar projects.
As an ideal candidate you will have:
Degree in Electrical Engineering and be accredited by the Australian Institute of Engineers
You MUST have a proven track record in Heavy Industrial Projects preferably in a mining/materials handling context
Extensive experience in the engineering, construction and operation of industrial electrical and instrumentation systems
A minimum of 10 years EPCM experience
