The ongoing development of this large Iron Ore project will include construction of additional materials handling equipment, and general mine related infrastructure. Our client is requiring an experienced Electrical engineer preferably from a HV background as this will be a main focus of the role.
General duties and responsibilities will be to:
Be able to identify the requirements for engineering input into procurement and construction contract packages.
Oversee the quality of the engineering deliverables.
Be able to ensure the implementation of the project engineering procedures.
Liaise with engineering and technical personnel to ensure project goals are met.
Preparing and issuing weekly / monthly Progress Reports
Participate in site quality audits of the contractors and quality systems
Providing excellent technical skills
Contributing commercial astuteness to contract administration

To be considered you will need to have:
Experience within the Heavy Industrial environment
Experience in Calculation of loading and design of Electrical Systems
High Voltage systems and installation experience
Testing procedures for High Voltage Cables, transformers and switchgear.
A high level of technical accuracy and experience within HV/LV power
Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
Excellent team involvement, mentoring, coordination and communication skills
