One of Australia s largest engineering and construction giants have decided that 2013 is the year to expand their civil division in terms of manpower, capabilities and turnover. Operating for almost century they have built some Australia s most iconic structures and land mark buildings. They want to win projects in: power, water, rail and mining infrastructure.

The main focus of this important, senior role is to lead from the front on major projects bids utilising your commercial savvy and estimating experience you will be responsible for investigating project opportunities, analyzing tender invitations, negotiating, forming and submitting tenders, exploring planning options and ultimately assisting with the growth of the QLD business.

Ideally candidates should demonstrate over 10 years experience in civil estimating along with strong computer based planning and programming skills. The ability to think both logically and laterally is a must to successfully evaluate work methods and efficient techniques of construction whilst also having the diplomacy to massage meetings and negotiations towards positive outcomes.
