Senior Geologist

SENIOR GEOLOGIST

The Geologist is a key member of the Technical Services Team and is responsible for optimising the value of various resource through the provision of geo-technical data and advice to the operational team and mining Operation.
 
Key responsibilities will include:

• Planning and execution of mine development drilling and exploration programs
• Provide geological and geotechnical advice to mining operations
• Complete geological modelling and coal reconciliations
• Development of continuous improvement and safety initiatives
• Core logging, geological mapping, rock & soil sampling update, compile and interpret geological data

The successful candidate will have:

• Formal qualifications in Geology
• Preferable experience in Precious metals
• Demonstrated knowledge of geographical modelling software.
• At least 4 years of working experience in mining companies and/or mining technical consulting firm.
• Familiar with JORC Standard (international standard for calculating resources/reserves in mines)
• Proficiency in GIS software
• Cross Culture experience
