Are you our next Survey Technician?

  • We are currently seeking a Survey Technician for our Hookers Prairie, Florida location.  The purpose of this position is to provide survey services to mining operations, reclamation / permitting, mines planning and other departments as necessary. Including but not limited to surveying mining boundaries, pipe lines, reclamation areas, power lines, well locations, mine cuts etc.

What will you do?

  • Mining operations – mining boundaries, well locations, pump locations, pipe line locations, power line locations.
  • Reclamation Permitting – wetland boundaries, tailings elevations, cross sections, reclamation projects, ditches.
  • Mine planning – pit take ups, prospect hole locations, dewatering wells, monitoring wells.
  • Office work – create drawings for mining and utilities, calculate volumes and reclamation acres.
  • Miscellaneous – gypsum stack survey, grove and land management, property surveys.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate required.
  • 3-5 years surveying or mining experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge and mastery of high school level math skills are necessary.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be capable of climbing hills, walking through muddy areas and or dense brush while carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
