Job Responsibilities
  • The role of the Braider machine Operator will include: Operating hose braiding and wire winding machines in given functional areas by following oral and written instructions. Visually separate products for defects. Actively participate in kaizen and problem solving activities focusing on scrap reduction and process improvements. Ensure quality of product through training and guidance provided by appropriate work center employees. Gain knowledge of product assembly procedures and documentation for majority of product types in given functional area. Applies knowledge to product assembly as assigned with appropriate level of guidance to assemble product from shop orders, QC specifications, and drawings Achieves good working knowledge of tools and equipment necessary to assemble product. Keeps accurate records of work performed, products produced and traceability. Learns safety guidelines and applies necessary safety procedures to work area and assembly process, including information contained in MSDS. Becomes familiar with general controlled procedures and maintains work area appropriately. Assists in training co-workers and contract workers in assembly process and procedures. Flex to other areas as needed to help ensure organizational success.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
  • Strong math and reading skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Effective communicator and ability to work with a team to achieve performance.
  • Actively participate in kaizen & problem solving activities focusing on scrap reduction & process improvements.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited school.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
