With Projects constantly kick starting; this major Operator is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join and lead the Geology team. This is a new project located in Moranbah, it is a unique and challenging underground coal development.
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating production progress on the site in addition to supervising and coaching the project and graduate engineers. In this position you will build, develop and maintain the client relationship by ensuring the accurate monitoring of project progress and continually advising on the status of the project. The Senior Project Engineer's focus is on the Project Management processes, including risk and safety management and manage site projects from concept to completion.
To be successful, you will possess the following:
Tertiary qualified in Engineering (mining or civil);
5 - 10 years experience in a Supervisory Underground Pit Project Engineer role;
Ability to manage and implement project developments;
Ability to develop and build client and contractor relationships;
Quality orientation and attention to detail;
Strong leadership skills; and
Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
