As a market leader in the Australian coal mining industry,
Mastermyne are currently seeking trade qualified Mechanical Fitters to join a contract located just outside of Beresfield.
You will be responsible for:
- Safely mine coal and provide mine services in any area of the mine including Longwall, Development, Outbye and Surface.
- Know when to stop work due to unsafe conditions.
- Ensure all work is undertaken safely with a focus on meeting or exceeding client production and operational targets.
Your requirements:
- Applicable Trade Certificate
- Experience with the use, repair, maintenance and fault finding of mechanised mining methods particularly continuous miners, diesel machinery, shuttle cars, drill rigs, and hand held bolters.
- Minimum 6 months experience working in an underground mining environment where gas and outburst conditions are encountered.
- Knowledge of safety procedures associated with the repair and maintenance of underground development equipment.
Candidates with previous underground Production experience are highly encouraged to apply
