As an experienced Environmental Scientist you will be joining the Rockhampton team in a Senior or Principal level position. Ideally you will already be based in the local area, however other Central / North Queensland locations will also be considered. Reporting to the Environmental team manager you will take the lead technical role in your area of expertise. Other responsibilities will include planning and delivering environmental projects, client liaison, mentoring junior staff members, and report writing for impact assessments and other environmental reports. Consulting experience is preferred along with strong project management skills and legislative knowledge. This role offers you the chance to move into a leadership role within a supportive environment, whilst working across varied and interesting projects in your area of expertise.
 
To be successful you will have:
 

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science
• High technical capability and skill set within an environmental field (Ecology, Contaminated Land, Environmental Planning, or Environmental Management systems preferred)
• Thorough understanding of relevant legislation  
• Successful track record in project managing
• High level communication skills including strong report writing skills
• Leadership ability and a strong desire to mentor others
• Prior experience within a consultancy environment
